Xavi, The Head Coach Of Barcelona, Adds, “I Want Messi Back To Assist Us”

Xavi Hernandez, the head coach of FC Barcelona, said on Friday that Lionel Messi should rejoin the team for the next season.

In recent weeks, rumours about Messi potentially leaving Paris Saint-Germain for Barcelona have grown, and statements from Barca vice-president Rafa Yuste, who said “destiny is wise” in response to a question about the Argentine, have only helped to amplify those rumours, according to Xinhua.

At his news conference before to Elche’s La Liga visit on Saturday, Xavi initially resisted answering questions regarding Messi.

“I don’t believe it’s appropriate to discuss Leo’s return at this time. He stated, “I’m his buddy, and I talk to him all the time, but this isn’t the right time for his good, or the good of the club or the team.

But, Xavi clarified after making those first statements, “That is a question that we are working with. We are buddies, but I hope it can be done since it’s being worked on.

“I want Messi to come back and assist us. He has spent his whole life with this team, and he is the greatest player in club and football history.

We should pay attention to destiny if it is as intelligent as Xavi said.
