The’special guests’ who have been invited with their spouses to the upcoming Independence Day celebrations at the Red Fort include fifty workers from each of the Har Ghar Jal Yojana, laborers building border roads, “Shramyogis” or workers involved in the Central Vista project and the new Parliament building, beneficiaries of the PM-Kisan and PM-Vikas schemes, and 250 farmer producer organizations.

The preparations for Independence Day are being made on a major scale for the first time since the epidemic began in March 2020. Following Covid-19 policy, a large crowd was avoided for the occasion last year as well.

On the day of the event, the various categories of “special guests” would be seated in separate enclosures, according to the authorities. 50 nurses, 50 fisherman, 301 sarpanches of the lively villages, 50 khadi workers, and 50 basic school teachers are also on the list of “special guests.” They were also invited, and special accommodations would be arranged for them and their wives, according to a representative who wished to remain anonymous.

The G-20 logo will be created at Gyanpath in North Delhi, per the Center’s decision. “The theme of India’s 74th Republic Day this January included commoners such as ‘Shramyogis’ of Central Vista, Kartavya Path, new Parliament Building, milk, vegetable, and street sellers, etc. instead of any well-known visitors, which was enjoyed by everyone. Thus, it was decided to have guests on I-Day as well from among individuals who have contributed to nation-building, including teachers, health care providers, construction workers, and rural laborers, among others, the official added.

The Farmer Producer Organizations (FPOs), which were established under the Ministry of Agriculture to support the development of regional agriculture and the local economy while enabling farmers to get direct benefits, are one such group of donors.

One of the invited guests is Rajendran K, CEO of Viruthai Millets Farmer Producer Company Ltd in Tamil Nadu. I got emails and phone calls from government representatives inviting me to this year’s I-day festivities at Red Fort, he said in a statement to News18. Since then, we have been working together. I first assumed the phone call was for some kind of agricultural conference, so I couldn’t have guessed that they were really inviting us to attend. Being treated as a privileged visitor in this manner is pleasant. The government is recognizing our efforts to boost the economy in this manner.

He stated that he would spend three days in the national capital for the Independence Day festivities, along with the chairs and CEOs of numerous other FPOs.

All responsible departments have been requested to advise special visitors about etiquette and submit their identity cards to the Ministry of Defence for accreditation cards, according to authorities preparing for the major event.

Many of them are traveling from other states, thus it has been requested of all responsible departments to make suitable preparations for their accommodation and transportation to and from. To make sure they won’t have any difficulties while attending the event, the official said.
