The’special guests’ who have been invited with their spouses to the upcoming Independence Day celebrations at the Red Fort include fifty workers from each of the Har Ghar Jal Yojana, laborers building border roads, “Shramyogis” or workers involved in the Central Vista project and the new Parliament building, beneficiaries of the PM-Kisan and PM-Vikas schemes, and 250 farmer producer organizations.
The preparations for Independence Day are being made on a major scale for the first time since the epidemic began in March 2020. Following Covid-19 policy, a large crowd was avoided for the occasion last year as well.

All responsible departments have been requested to advise special visitors about etiquette and submit their identity cards to the Ministry of Defence for accreditation cards, according to authorities preparing for the major event.
Many of them are traveling from other states, thus it has been requested of all responsible departments to make suitable preparations for their accommodation and transportation to and from. To make sure they won’t have any difficulties while attending the event, the official said.
