Among the three Indian batsmen who are now rated in the top 10 of the ICC men’s ODI batting rankings, opener Shubman Gill has earned a career-best second place and is the highest-ranked player. Three Indians are now within the top 10 for the first time since January 2019.
In the Asia Cup match against Pakistan, Gill scored 58 and contributed to a 121-run opening partnership with captain Rohit Sharma. As a result, Gill has moved up one spot, while Sharma and Virat Kohli have each climbed two spots to take the eighth and ninth spots, respectively. Along with his century against Sri Lanka, Sharma

Less than a month before the ICC World Cup, Pakistan too has three hitters in the top 10. Imam-ul-Haq and Fakhar Zaman are in positions five and ten, respectively, while Captain Babar Azam is in first place and has an advantage of more than 100 rating points above Gill.
