Among the three Indian batsmen who are now rated in the top 10 of the ICC men’s ODI batting rankings, opener Shubman Gill has earned a career-best second place and is the highest-ranked player. Three Indians are now within the top 10 for the first time since January 2019.
In the Asia Cup match against Pakistan, Gill scored 58 and contributed to a 121-run opening partnership with captain Rohit Sharma.
