A case of rape of a 14-year-old minor girl has come to light in Mumbai’s Kashimira area. Based on the statement of the victim girl, the police have registered a case against three people, including a woman, under various sections of the IPC and the POCSO Act. According to the police, the victim girl and all the three accused are residents of the same locality.
The police officer told the media that the accused woman Pooja Yadav coaxed the victim girl to Shrikant Yadav’s house, where the victim was threatened and raped. A few days later, Pooja Yadav took the victim to the house of third accused Milan Yadav in Bhayandar area. There also the victim girl was raped several times. The police is investigating the case.
Police raid in red light area in Nagpur
On the other hand, the Nagpur police raided the city’s red light area Ganga-Jamuna on Wednesday and detained about 19 women. The police officer said that more than 100 policemen were involved in the operation. The area was cordoned off before starting the operation. The police officer said that after this a thorough search was conducted in the Ganga-Jamuna area, but no minor girl was found. 19 women involved in prostitution have been detained from the spot.
