Maharashtra’s political veteran Sharad Pawar has given an important statement on Monday. According to sources, NCP supremo Pawar asked the NCP faction led by his nephew Ajit Pawar how to find a way out in the current political situation when they have already publicly clarified their stand. Sources said 25-30 MLAs from the NCP faction led by Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar met Sharad Pawar at YB Chavan Center in Mumbai in the afternoon and asked him to ensure that the party remains united.
Ajit Pawar met his uncle Sharad Pawar for the second time on Monday within a few hours. According to sources, the Ajit Pawar camp said that they seek Sharad Pawar’s blessings and guidance in the current situation, but he said that the path has been lost by you, not me, so what path should I take. During this, the NCP supremo also made it clear to the MLAs of the Ajit faction that he would not go with the BJP under any circumstances. He said, ‘I have always done secularist politics and will do the same in future also.’
Let us tell you that after the rebellion of nephew Ajit Pawar, the NCP supremo is left with only a few MLAs. While Ajit Pawar is in favor of going with the BJP-led NDA alliance, Sharad Pawar is holding the torch of opposition unity. If there is no agreement between the two sides soon, then once again the same situation can be seen in the politics of the state as was seen after the breakup of Shiv Sena. At present, Ajit Pawar’s upper hand is visible in the figures just like the present Chief Minister Eknath Shinde was visible after the breakup of Shiv Sena last year.
