Four terrorists were killed on Tuesday as part of “Operation Trinetra II” in the Poonch area of Jammu and Kashmir, marking a significant victory for the security forces.
Following a combined operation by the Army and police on Monday night in the Sindhara top region of the Surankote belt that resulted in a gunfight, the terrorists were killed, according to PTI.
According to a source citing a senior Jammu and Kashmir police officer, the shootout began on Tuesday about 5 am, during which four militants were killed.
Operation Trinetra II, according to a tweet from the White Knight Corps. In a significant cordon and search operation based on specific information, the Indian Army and Jammu and Kashmir Police jointly executed four terrorists close to the villages of Sindarah and Maidana in the Surankote tehsil of the Poonch district.
Four AK-47 rifles, two handguns, and other items were also found, according to the report.
The statement said, “Elimination of these terrorists has avoided major terrorist initiated incidents in Rajouri and Poonch area.”
It said that the search effort was still ongoing.

On Monday afternoon, Surankote tehsil’s Sindarah and Maidana initiated “Operation Trinetra II.”
The mission resulted in a fierce gun battle with terrorists who were hiding.
According to the operation, “frequent bouts of sporadic shooting were observed from the besieged area. As soon as the gunfire started, reinforcements were rushed.
Additionally, all escape routes have been blocked down, and a close watch was kept all night long while the operation went on.
In Poonch, surprise vehicle inspections and random searches have been stepped up as part of the operation in anticipation of attempts to cross the border with armed terrorists, weapons, and drugs.
On the intervening night of July 16 and 17, security forces killed two terrorists and thwarted a significant infiltration attempt along the Line of Control in the Krishna Ghati Sector of the Poonch district.
