Sarfaraz Khan, a star player in the Ranji Trophy, is now lawfully wed. The Shopian district of Jammu & Kashmir hosted the wedding.
The hitter represents Mumbai in the first-class format of cricket in India while playing for Delhi Capitals, a team in the Indian Premier League (IPL).
Sarfaraz has made news for a number of reasons, including the jab he launched at the selectors after being passed over for the Test series during India’s visit to the West Indies.
Several local media outlets highlighted his nuptials, and local reporters implied that it was a happy union. Even after his non-selection, the athlete took the time to address inquiries. According to him, “If the Almighty has destined, I will play for India one day.”
In the Ranji Trophy, where he has amassed 556 runs in only six games, Sarfaraz has been on a roll. He seemed to be called up for the Indian team, but insider sources told PTI that his lack of selection was down to his physical condition.
To further his quest for selection for Team India, Sarfaraz will want to make a strong start to the new year. He’ll probably also want to become better at the limited-overs format. This includes making the most of his IPL opportunities to leave his imprint, much like Tilak Varma and Yashasvi Jaiswal, who both had promising beginnings in their respective T20 and Test squads. In his second game, Tilak scored a half-century at a vital juncture when India sorely needed it. Jaiswal followed suit, going on to become the Test series’ top run-scorer. Jaiswal also hit a huge 171 runs in the first innings, breaking many records in the process.
