BJP insiders stated on Saturday that the reach of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s social media interactions is far more than that of Congress leader Rahul Gandhi’s. This comes as the two parties are pushing their campaign on different online platforms in the build up to the 2024 elections for the Lok Sabha.
According to the information that they shared, Modi’s account on X (which was previously known as Twitter) garnered roughly 79.9 lakh interactions in the most recent month, while Gandhi’s handle received approximately 23.43 lakh engagements.
They said that Modi’s account had around 2.77 million interactions over the course of the previous three months, while Gandhi’s handle garnered approximately 58.23 lakh engagements over the same time period.
According to sources from the BJP, Modi’s account on Facebook garnered roughly 57.89 lakh interactions in the last month, while Gandhi’s account had approximately 28.38 lakh engagements.
This year, the Facebook account of the Prime Minister garnered around 3.25 million interactions, while the Facebook account of Gandhi earned 1.88 million engagements over the same time period.
According to what they stated, Modi’s channel on YouTube earned roughly 25.46 crore views in the last month, while the channel of the Congress leader on the site gained approximately 4.82 crore views in the same time period.
Comparatively, Modi’s YouTube channel has received roughly 75.79 crore views in the first half of this year, while Gandhi’s channel has received approximately 25.38 crore views.
