According to the state government, all public health department-regulated health services, including treatment, are now provided without charge to patients at all government hospitals in Maharashtra.
According to a government resolution (GR) released on Wednesday, all medical examinations, treatments, and other services supplied via public-private partnerships—with the exception of blood supply—will be offered to patients without charge as of August 15.
The state cabinet decided on August 3 to make all government hospitals in Maharashtra provide free medical care and other health services.
According to prior statements made by authorities, the program would provide free services in 2,418 hospitals and medical facilities controlled by the state government.
According to them, more than 25.5 million individuals use these institutions for medical care.
