In the Satara district of Maharashtra’s Pusesawali hamlet, where racial violence took one life, police kept a rigorous surveillance; meanwhile, according to authorities, the stopped Internet connections should be back up by Wednesday night.
Due to a “objectionable” social media post, two parties fought in Pusesawali hamlet on Sunday night. According to authorities, numerous homes and automobiles were also set on fire by rioters.
According to them, there was violence that resulted in one death and ten injuries.
The district administration claims that the village’s situation is now under control, and police protection is still being used there.
The district administration said that Internet access was shut off in the western Maharashtra area after the violence. District Collector Jitendra Dudi said that it should be back up by Wednesday night when asked when the Internet service will be available again.
According to a police officer, 19 persons have so far been detained in connection with the incident.
