Arvind Kejriwal, the chief minister of Delhi, said on Wednesday that all of the corrupt individuals had joined “one party” as a result of the CBI and ED raids, and that when the BJP’s hegemony ends, the nation would be free of corruption.
Speaking on the vote of confidence he submitted to the Delhi Assembly, Kejriwal said that the BJP had not missed an opportunity to undermine democracy in the nation. He said that the CBI and ED have gathered everyone involved in corruption into one group.
“The nation would become corrupt-free if BJP individuals are in prison once their government’s control ends,” he said. “All the thieves, looters, and corrupt are in one party.” Kejriwal said that despite threats of CBI and ED searches and bribe offers of Rs 25 crore, his MLAs were unbreakable.
Don’t be scared; even if you end up in prison, I’ll take care of your family, he assured them. “Each one of you is a treasure,” he remarked. The Delhi Assembly’s activities, he continued, “send out a positive message for democracy today. Kejriwal said that the BJP-controlled Centre does not let opposition party governments to function.
We welcome criticism, but these individuals only know how to fight and attack, so we volunteered to let BJP MLAs speak even though they were unable to move a no-confidence vote against our administration. Leaving alone the 2025 assembly elections, the BJP would not be able to win even in 2050 in Delhi, he added.
Later, following the assembly session, Kejriwal told reporters that the BJP has said it will introduce a no-confidence motion. They intimidated our MLAs to get them to do it, but none of them blinked. AAP MLAs cannot be broken via fear and intimidation, he claimed. “But to table such a move, you need signatures at least 20% MLAs,” he added.
The chief minister continued, “Our confidence motion has won with a huge majority. People have tremendous faith in us. We are doing work for the public, something that hasn’t been done in the past 75 years. I thank the public for showing faith. We are fighting elections in Karnataka and I hope we get good results.
