The previous three months have seen Kempegowda International Airport (KIA) rank as the world’s most punctual airport, according to aviation analytics company Cirium.
KIA has solidified its position as the top airport in terms of timeliness throughout the world with a record of on-time departures that includes 87.51 percent in July, 89.66 percent in August, and 88.51 percent in September.
In its most recent on-time performance (OTP) monthly report, Cirium praised KIA, noting that “88.51 percent of flights at Kempegowda International Airport took off on time.” This accomplishment demonstrates KIA’s persistent dedication to effectiveness and timeliness.
Notably, Salt Lake City International Airport, Rajiv Gandhi International Airport, Hyderabad, Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport, and El Dorado International Airport were among the other airports that made it to the top five in the world for punctuality during the previous three months.
In addition to being exceptional in on-time departures, KIA also had a remarkable on-time arrival record of 79.46% in September. KIA stands out as a major air transport hub with a network that includes 88 itineraries and partnerships with 35 airlines.
The third busiest airport in India, Kempegowda International Airport, is expanding significantly; in FY 2022–2023, it handled around 31.91 million passengers.
As a memorable occasion for the Indian aviation sector, Rajiv Gandhi International Airport achieved third place in the big airport category for September.
