In response to the delays in granting visas to Pakistani media and the lack of a visa policy for Men in Green World Cup spectators, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) filed a formal complaint with the International Cricket Council (ICC) on Tuesday. They have also lodged a complaint against the improper conduct shown by the Pakistan team during the Saturday match between India and Pakistan.
India defeated Pakistan by 7 wickets at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad to continue their undefeated streak in the 50-over World Cup.
According to reports and several revealing recordings, Indian supporters ridiculed the Pakistani players throughout the stadium with slogans, which the PCB most likely deemed to be “inappropriate conduct.” Mickey Arthur, the coach of Pakistan, spoke about the Ahmedabad crowd’s behavior after the game.
“The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has filed another official complaint with the ICC about the lack of a visa policy for Pakistani supporters attending the current World Cup 2023 and the delays in granting visas to media from Pakistan. Inappropriate behavior directed against the Pakistan team during the India vs. Pakistan game on October 14, 2023 has also been the subject of a complaint from the PCB, according to a statement from PCB Media.
Some Pakistani cricketers have had fever in recent days, but the majority of them have already recovered in time for their team’s World Cup match against Australia on Friday.
“Some players have had fever in the recent days, but the majority of them have totally recovered. The team medical panel continues to monitor those who are recovering, according to PCB media manager Ahsan Iftikhar Nagi, who spoke to PTI.
