HD Deve Gowda, the leader of the Janata Dal (Secular), tried to put an end to the issue on Saturday by saying that Pinarayi Vijayan, the chief minister of Kerala and a leader of the CPI(M), has “given full concurrence” to his party’s alliance with the BJP. The former prime minister offered a statement to clear up “some confusion” after Vijayan fiercely refuted claims that he had endorsed the coalition. He said that his communist friends had misunderstood the context of his speech.
There is considerable misunderstanding about my claim regarding the CPI(M). Gowda said on the social networking site X, “My Communist friends don’t appear to have understood what I said or the context in which I said it.
He expressed his regret that his CPI(M) leaders had not sought explanation or made better word choices.
“I merely said that my party unit in Kerala is getting along with the LDF administration since issues among my party units outside of Karnataka are still unresolved as a result of our alliance with the BJP. The JD(S) patriarch said, “I wish CPI(M) leaders had chosen their words better or had sought explanation.
Deve Gowda mentioned Vijayan’s “concurrence” on Friday when he announced the dismissal of CM Ibrahim as the Karnataka leader of the JD(S) for instigating a mutiny against the BJP-JD(S) coalition. In the state, the two parties work together.
“In order to salvage the party, Pinarayi Vijayan, the chief minister of Kerala’s Left-wing administration, has offered the BJP his complete support to proceed in Karnataka. According to a PTI report, he had replied, “This is the stance.
Within a few hours, Vijayan refuted the assertion, calling it unfounded and untrue. He claimed the Kerala state unit had made it clear they were against the party’s partnership with the BJP and asked Gowda to clarify his comments.
Vijayan said that this was not the first time Deve Gowda has allied himself with the BJP in a scathing comment. When JD(S) and BJP united in 2005, he said, “he left this ideology and associated with the BJP to get a ministerial post for his son.”
