Jyotish Kumar Yadav, a 35-year-old Bengaluru-based software engineer and ardent fan of the Indian cricket team, tragically died on November 19 from a heart attack. The regrettable incident happened during India’s 2023 World Cup loss to Australia.
Throughout the match, as India faltered, Yadav, who had traveled back to his birthplace of Tirupati, Andhra Pradesh, for the Deepavali holidays, showed signs of worry and concern. He fell, according to witnesses, after seeing India get all out for 240 runs at the end of the match. Even though the Australian team celebrated after they lost three wickets in rapid succession, Yadav eventually slumped as Australia won. Yadav complained of chest trouble.
While being rushed to the Sri Venkateswara Ramnarain Ruia Government General Hospital in Tirupati, attempts were made to pronounce Yadav dead. Yadav was thrilled throughout the match’s ups and downs, according to his friends, but he passed away from stress after India’s defeat.
