Mallikarjun Kharge, the president of Congress, praised ISRO on Monday for the successful launch of its first X-Ray Polarimeter satellite and expressed the hope that such successful missions will instill in the public the necessary scientific temper. With the successful launch of its first X-Ray Polarimeter satellite on Monday, ISRO will be able to learn more about astronomical phenomena like as black holes.
The goal of the X-ray Polarimeter Satellite (XPoSat) is to study how polarized powerful X-ray sources are in orbit.
It is the first specialized scientific satellite from ISRO to conduct studies on space-based polarization measurements of X-ray emission from celestial sources, according to the space agency.
“As we enter the New Year, we are elated to witness the successful launch of PSLV-C58/ XPoSat Mission by @isro,” said Kharge in a post on X.
This is the first-ever polarimetry mission in India, designed to investigate the dynamics of intense astronomical X-ray sources under harsh environmental circumstances. “Many thanks to all of our scientists, space engineers, researchers, and ground crew for their creativity and steadfast dedication,” he said.
The fact that so many female engineers were a part of this outstanding team fills us with pride. As envisioned by our ancestors, may these successful missions instill in our people the necessary scientific temper,” Kharge said.
