Prime Minister Narendra Modi stated that he does not base his decisions only on the desire for power or an election triumph. He said he would not have given the northeastern region’s development top priority if this had been his only goal.
The Prime Minister stated, “Just because I am a politician does not mean every action I undertake is only to win elections, for power, or for votes,” in an interview with Thanti TV in Tamil Nadu. Had my objective been limited to winning elections, I would not have contributed to the northeast’s growth. I have made more trips to the northeastern states than all of the previous prime ministers put together.
Prime Minister Modi highlighted the development projects in Tamil Nadu and the state’s enormous potential.
“Viksit Bharat is Viksit Rajya,” which implies that progress has to come to every region of the nation. Additionally, Tamil Nadu is Viksit. We must first develop each state to construct a Viksit Bharat. Tamil Nadu has enormous potential that shouldn’t be overlooked. In an interview with Thanti TV, he stated, “I think Tamil Nadu has the potential to become the driving force behind our dream of a Viksit Bharat.”
The prime minister praised the BJP state president, K Annamalai, for his grassroots efforts to encourage young people into politics.
“We continued to work for Tamil Nadu even without a single contender for municipal office. Annamalai is drawing young people. When they see him, they assume that he could have joined the DMK or AIADMK if corruption and money were the driving forces behind his actions. Annamalai joined the BJP to serve the country, not herself or her interests. According to PM Modi, he is working for both Tamil Nadu and the nation.
PM Modi reaffirmed his belief that the BJP-led NDA would win in Tamil Nadu, pointing out that the votes were pro-BJP rather than just anti-DMK.
“The NDA is a powerful coalition that unites the various facets of society. It is an organisation made up of parties from various social and economic strata. It stands for the people’s hopes and dreams. The votes cast for the BJP-NDA are “pro-BJP” rather than “anti-DMK.” The public has seen our work over the last ten years. He declared, “Tamil Nadu has decided that the BJP-NDA will be involved this time.”
The Prime Minister also vented his resentment during the interview, citing the “injustice to the great heritage” of Tamil Nadu.
Promoting the Tamil language is necessary, much as the globalisation of Tamil Nadu’s food has. I am furious because we have mistreated Tamil Nadu’s rich cultural legacy. India doesn’t take pride in having the oldest language in the world. The Prime Minister said, “The world should be made aware of this great legacy.
Regarding the opposition parties’ criticism of Sengol’s placement in the nation’s new parliament building, Prime Minister Modi emphasised the symbol’s significance to the nation’s independence.
Few people know that the Sengol, a sacred animal, played a significant role in our early moments of independence. It served as a sign of the regime shift. to bring it to Parliament, I did a great deal of research. Then, I concluded that Sengol would motivate us to join the new Parliament. He said it will be given the respect it deserves and not just an ornament on the shelf.
In response to his top three foreign policy accomplishments, Prime Minister Modi stated, “Every work is top and important for me.” I have devoted the same amount of time, thought, and effort to every task I have embarked on. Small nations are just as significant as large ones, in my opinion, which is why the world still refers to India as “Vishwabandhu.”
PM Modi commented, “People who are protesting against the electoral bonds will soon regret it,” about the BJP’s reputation being associated with obtaining a significant sum of money through electoral bonds. No record of cash was provided to political parties during elections before 2014. The electoral bonds were introduced to me. We can now track the funding source because of the electoral bonds. Nothing is flawless, and flaws may be fixed.
The Prime Minister responded that he had never even envisaged running for office and had no desire to become a politician when asked if he had ever considered running from Tamil Nadu. However, he got to where he is now by fate.
The Prime Minister responded to the slogans about the NDA gaining 400 seats in the next Lok Sabha elections by saying the people have the final say.
The nation’s citizens have chosen “Mission 400.” Not me. According to Prime Minister Modi, people now understand the value of political stability and the influence of their vote.
“Their vote will feed the poor and give them more power. Their vote will make “Nari Shakti” possible. Thus, the public will decide,” he continued.
Tamil Nadu has 39 Lok Sabha seats. On April 19, the state will have a single voting phase.
