While Yash Jaluka, the sub-divisional magistrate of Naraingarh, was patrolling the area on Sunday to look for any illegal mining activity, a suspicious SUV allegedly targeted him. The SUV pursued Yash Jaluka’s automobile, which attempted to hit it twice at high speed. However, according to sources quoted by news agency PTI, the official managed to evade the accident.
The people inside the SUV, who are thought to have connections to the underground mining industry, are thought to have left the area. According to police, an FIR was filed on Saturday regarding the incident, which happened around one morning on March 27 and 28.
Two such raids and inspections were recently conducted to verify illicit mining in the Naraingarh area’s rivers.
According to PTI, Naraingarh Police filed a case on April 6 against the owner and driver of the SUV under several IPC provisions, including an attempt to kill and obstruction of government work, in response to the security guard’s allegation against the SDM.
Yash Jaluka, a 29-year-old IAS officer from the 2021 batch, is presently assigned to the Ambala district as SDM Naraingarh.
