According to PR expert Mark Borkowski, Prince Harry is going “back to basics,” which has previously worked successfully for him. Due to their recent separate public appearances, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex have sparked rumours that they may have “pursued solo ventures in connection with their interests.”
According to Borkowski, the couple’s combined “star power wasn’t as successful as they hoped”; therefore, they are exploring individual endeavours. “There has been a separation [of their work] for a while,” he told GB News. They needed to alter the story.
“Together, they have exciting projects in the pipeline, all driving forward their shared mission for positive global impact,” a different insider told HELLO! Magazine.
Prince Harry and Meghan follow different routes to benefit their brands
This new course appears to be a reaction to their difficulties in becoming recognised as a single public person. When Meghan Markle remained in California last month, and Prince Harry journeyed for his numerous humanitarian endeavours, their trajectory started to diverge.
Prince Harry’s recent attendance at a WellChild event, which he has long sponsored, demonstrated his continued dedication to charity causes. Shortly after, he said Meghan was “holding the fort” at home in Montecito while he flew to Africa for Sentebale, a nonprofit he co-founded.
The Duchess of Sussex stole the show at a charity banquet for the Children’s Hospital Los Angeles. Additionally, Meghan has been focusing on her own projects, such as finishing a new Netflix series, the release date of which has not yet been disclosed.
“This is akin to splitting aces at the poker table: together you’d think they’re unbeatable — and normally they would be — but oftentimes it’s better to play two separate hands with an ace as an anchor,” said Doug Eldridge, founder of Achilles PR and an expert in celebrity branding and marketing, about Sussexes’ move.
He told GB News, “Now when you see Harry and Meghan together, it immediately brings to mind the drama, which isn’t good: leaving the Royal Family, the tell-all book, the sit-downs, the negativity.”
