On Wednesday, APPLE, a well-known smartphone manufacturer with headquarters in Cupertino, finally revealed the first image of the shop, which is still under construction in Mumbai, the nation’s financial centre. By this approach, the business hopes to advance domestic gadget production and promote the Make in India initiative of the Central government.
According to the business, the shop is located in Jio World Drive Mall and is modelled after Mumbai’s Kaali Peeli cab. The decals are sent to the business in vivid versions, and consumers may also browse a range of Apple products and services. In the store’s advertisements, a cheerful “Hey Mumbai” in the trademark Apple welcome is spoken to the onlookers.
Visitors may download the new Apple BKC wallpaper and dance to the sounds of Mumbai with a specially crafted playlist on Apple Music, the firm said, in honour of the launch of the new shop.
The business has also said that the Indian retail location would be operational by this month. The business also has ambitions to build another retail location in Delhi. The CEO of Apple, Tim Cook, also said that India has been a developing market for the firm.
“We feel extremely comfortable about how we did,” he added. “We achieved a quarterly sales record and increased very strong double digits year over year.”
It’s noteworthy to note that Apple sold over 2 million iPhones in the fourth quarter of 2022, an 18% increase in sales. The market share of the iPhone will rise by nearly 11% from the previous year to 5.5 percent in 2022.
