According to authorities, President Droupadi Murmu would arrive in Assam on Thursday for a three-day visit.
They said that Murmu’s aircraft would arrive at the Jorhat airport in the afternoon and that she would then go to the Kaziranga National Park.
She will tour the park’s western range at Bagori, embark on a jeep safari, and spend the evening at a cultural event in the park’s center range at Kohora.
On Friday morning, the president will open the two-day “Gaj Festival” at the park before departing for Guwahati.
The Center and the state government jointly organize the yearly festival with the goal of protecting Asiatic elephants and finding solutions to the growing conflict between people and elephants.
She will attend the Gauhati High Court’s platinum jubilee festivities on Friday and kick off the Mt. Kanchenjunga Expedition-2023 in Guwahati.
On Saturday, Murmu will go for Tezpur. Before departing for Delhi, she will fly a sortie in a Sukhoi 30 MKI fighter jet at the Air Force base in Tezpur.
