On Thursday, President Droupadi Murmu will go to Kerala, Tamil Nadu, and Lakshadweep as part of a six-day trip.
INS Vikrant, the nation’s first aircraft carrier constructed domestically, will be visited by Murmu when she arrives in Kochi in the afternoon. According to sources, she would later give the President’s Colour to INS Dronacharya, the Indian Navy’s local gunnery school.
The President will go to Mata Amritanandamayi’s Math in Kollam on Friday. She will attend a civic function in Thiruvananthapuram that day that is being held in her honor.
At a ceremony being held in Kowdiar, she will also dedicate to the country the Technical Books of Diploma and Engineering that Digital University Kerala (DUK) has translated into Malayalam.
According to authorities, she would depart for Kanyakumari in Tamil Nadu on March 18 to pay respects at the Thiruvalluvar and Vivekananda Smarak statues.
She will attend a civic celebration held in her honor on March 18 in Kavaratti, the Union Territory of Lakshadweep’s capital.
The President will speak with participants in Kavaratti’s self-help groups on March 19, according to them.
