In connection with a case involving the financing of terrorism, the NIA conducted early-morning searches throughout the Kashmir valley on Tuesday and arrested one individual for interrogation, according to sources.
Nearly a dozen locations in the Srinagar, Awantipora, Pulwama, Kulgam, and Anantnag regions were the target of raids.
The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has apprehended one individual from Srinagar’s Sozeith neighbourhood for interrogation, according to the authorities.
Ishaq Ahmad Bhat was the individual who was arrested.
“The NIA arrived about 5:30 and 6:00 in the morning.Ishaq was taken away along with his phone when they requested him. He is a labourer,” the suspect’s father, Mohammad Ramzan Bhat, told PTI.
He said, “We have no affiliations with militancy or stone-throwing.
The arrested person’s brother, Bilal Bhat, said Ishaq was uneducated and employed as a window glass fitter.
The searches are being carried out in relation to a complaint that was filed last year alleging financing for terrorism.
