A complaint has been registered against Nationalist Congress Party leader and Maharashtra government minister Jitendra Awhad for making controversial statements. According to reports, the complaint has been registered at Thane’s Vartaknagar police station on the complaint of a person named Santosh Jaiswal. Awhad had said in a statement that the producer of the film ‘The Kerala Story’ should be publicly hanged. He said that the film has insulted the women of Kerala and the state.
‘Only 3 women joined IS’
Jitendra Awhad said, ‘The producer of this film has not only tarnished the image of Kerala but also insulted the women of the state.’ He said that 32,000 women from Kerala went missing and joined the Islamic State terror outfit. But actually this number is only 3. Awhad has been in controversies before by giving controversial statements. Recently he said that it seems that Ram Navami and Hanuman Jayanti are celebrated to create riots in the state.
