Supreme Court has given its verdict on the political crisis in Maharashtra on Thursday. While giving the verdict on the application of the Uddhav group, the Supreme Court said that if Uddhav Thackeray himself had not resigned, he could have reinstated him. Now Uddhav Thackeray has given his reaction after the court’s decision. Thackeray said that democracy was murdered in the country. The role of the governor was wrong. The decision of the Supreme Court will decide the future of the country. Thackeray said that the governor did not have the right to call a floor test.
“I resigned to fight for the people”
Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar and Deputy Chief Minister Tejashwi Yadav were also present in this press conference along with Uddhav Thackeray after the court’s decision. Uddhav Thackeray said that now the speaker should not take much time to pronounce the verdict. I am sure that the people of Maharashtra are with me. Uddhav said that I had resigned for the fight of the people. Former Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray said that it is our job to protect democracy in this country. The Supreme Court said that if I had not resigned, I might have become the Chief Minister again. I am not fighting for myself, my fight is for the people, for the country. There are differences in politics but our one opinion is that this country has to be saved.
“Eknath Shinde should Resign”
Uddhav Thackeray said that if this Chief Minister (Shinde) and Deputy Chief Minister (Devendra Fadnavis) have any morality then they should resign like I had resigned. Eknath Shinde is a traitor. Shinde has stabbed me in the back. He said how a traitor would have run the government with the people. Thackeray said that they (now Shinde’s active MLA) has betrayed my party and my father’s legacy. My resignation from the post of Chief Minister may have been legally wrong then, but I gave it on moral grounds.
Nitish Kumar also reacted on the verdict
At the same time, Bihar CM Nitish Kumar said that we want more and more parties to unite in the whole country, together we will all fight. Today those who are in the center are not doing any work for the country, so we all will fight together in the interest of the country. Now it will be decided when everyone’s meeting will be held.
