Due to Maharashtra Day, there will be no trading on the Indian stock exchanges BSE (Bombay Stock Exchange) and NSE (National Stock Exchange) on Monday, May 1. According to the BSE’s holiday schedule, the Indian stock market will be closed today in observance of Maharashtra Day. The Equity, Equity Derivative, and SLB sectors, as well as the Currency Derivatives and Interest Rate Derivatives segments, will also be closed on May 1, according to the BSE’s official website, bseindia.com.
Will today’s commodities market be open?
Trading will cease in the morning session, meaning from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, in the Commodity Derivatives Segment and the Electronic Gold Receipts (EGR) Segment, although it will restart in the evening session at 5:00 PM. This means that there won’t be any action on the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX) or the National Commodity Exchange (NCDEX) from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
May 2023 stock market holidays:
The calendar indicates that there will only be one trade holiday in May 2023, and that day is today, when trading on the NSE and BSE will stay halted. The next stock market holiday will be on June 28, 2023, in observance of Bakri Id.
There won’t be another stock market holiday in July of this year after Bakri Id since the next one will be on Independence Day, August 15, 2023.
