According to North Korea, an engine malfunction caused a rocket carrying a military surveillance satellite it had launched earlier in the day to fall into the Yellow Sea. The nation stated it planned to conduct a second launch soon.
According to Yonhap news agency, which cited Korean Central News Agency (KCNA), the rocket carrying the spy satellite crashed into the ocean after the first stage separated because of an engine issue.
According to the KCNA, the North’s state-run space development organisation will look into the “grave” flaws and intends to launch the second satellite as soon as is practical.
