A case of mob lynching has come to light from Parbhani district of Maharashtra. In Ukhlad village here, a minor Sikh child was killed by a mob mistaking him for a thief, while two Sikh children were saved by the police. Police has arrested three accused in this incident of mob lynching. In fact, on May 27, in Parbhani, Maharashtra, three Sikh children were thrashed by people mistaking them for goat thieves, in which one Sikh child died.
Police has registered a case against a total of 6 people in this matter. The police have arrested three accused. In this, the main accused Akram Patel, former Sarpanch of the Gram Panchayat, has also been arrested. Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC) President Harjinder Singh Dhami has strongly condemned this incident of mob lynching.
Harjinder Singh Dhami said that according to the information received, a 14-year-old Sikh youth named Kripal Singh has died in the incident, while two other minor Sikh youths Avtar Singh (16) and Arun Singh (15) are seriously injured.
He said that the Sikh community is deeply hurt by this incident and there is a wave of anger in the entire Sikh community. He said that this heinous crime is a blot on humanity, whose culprits should be punished severely. He said that the police should identify and arrest all the culprits and ensure that they are punished severely.
