Some type of addiction like alcohol also causes excessive sleep.

Ways to get rid of excessive sleep
To get a good sleep at night, keep distance from your mobile and TV 1 hour before sleeping.
Eat light food in dinner. By doing this, the night’s sleep will be complete and then you will not feel sleepy during the day.
Start your day with exercise. Do exercise for at least 15 minutes every day. With this, you will have energy throughout the day and you will be fit.
If you do not have any work during the day and you lie on the bed, then sleep will come. In such a situation, keep yourself busy throughout the day.
