The Maharashtra Police has registered a case against the 4 persons carrying posters of Mughal Emperor Aurangzeb in the rally. The incident is from Ahmednagar district of Maharashtra, whose video went viral on social media as well.
An officer of Bhingar Camp Police Station said that a procession was taken out at Fakirwada in Ahmednagar at 9 am on Sunday. Songs were being played in the procession, on which people were dancing. In this procession, four people were carrying posters of Aurangzeb. A case has been registered against all four of them for inciting religious sentiments and inciting violence.
Maharashtra Deputy CM Devendra Fadnavis said on Monday that such incidents will not be spared at all. This country is a country following the footsteps of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj, strict action will be taken if anyone shows Aurangzeb’s poster here. NCP chief Jayant Patil said that the state government should take strict action on law and order. At the same time, Shiv Sena (UBT) MLC Ambadas Danve said that in such cases the government only makes tall claims but fails to take action.
