After a big disaster in Joshimath, Uttarakhand, once again the construction work of the Helang Marwari Bypass has started. In protest against this, the entire Joshimath remained closed today. During this, a large number of traders from all over Joshimath took to the streets and protested. Let us tell you that since the 80s, there has been opposition to the Helang Marwari bypass in Joshimath. In January this year, the construction work of the Helang Marwari Bypass was stopped after the landslide in Joshimath. But now once again with its commencement, massive opposition to this project has started in Joshimath.
Pilgrims will reach Badrinath and Hemkund directly
In fact, with the construction of the Helang Marwari Bypass, which reduces the distance of 40 km in the 5 km route to 13 km before Joshimath, the pilgrims coming to Joshimath will directly reach Badrinath Dham and Hemkund Sahib via the bypass route. But its protest has started in Joshimath. It goes on to say that Narsingh Temple in Joshimath, where Jagadguru Shankaracharya’s throne comes today after the closure of the doors of Badrinath Dham, devotees will no longer have to come there. In protest against this, the people of Joshimath are now protesting on the streets.
Question on bypass 13 km before Joshimath
Significantly, the people of Joshimath have always been opposed to this bypass. The people of Joshimath say that everywhere the bypass is within a radius of one to one and a half kilometers, so there is no justification for making this bypass 13 kilometers earlier in Joshimath, in protest against which Joshimath remained completely closed.
