Cyclone Biparjoy, which arose in the Arabian Sea, will hit many coastal areas of Gujarat, Saurashtra and Kutch late tonight. There is a possibility of heavy damage due to this cyclonic storm. The possibility of heavy rains and winds has been expressed in the coastal areas. Red alert has been issued in these areas. Though the storm has weakened a bit, all precautions are being taken. The Meteorological Department has told that the effect of this cyclone will not be limited to Gujarat and Maharashtra only.
The IMD has issued a warning saying that due to Biparjoy cyclone, strong winds will move east for the next four-five days. The speed of these winds is estimated to be 30 to 40 kilometers per hour. Due to this, it can cause rain in parts of Punjab, Haryana and West Uttar Pradesh including Delhi. On the other hand, a change was seen in the weather of Delhi-NCR on Wednesday evening. A drop in temperature was recorded due to strong winds. Along with this, the sky was cloudy on Thursday morning as well. According to Skymet Weather, there is a possibility of light rain in Delhi today, Thursday and Friday due to the effect of Biperjoy.

In Rajasthan, the Meteorological Department has issued a warning of heavy rains due to cyclonic storm Biparjoy. Because of this, the department has issued a red alert for many areas. At the same time, warnings have been issued for increase in temperature in many areas of Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Jharkhand and Odisha. Along with this, there is also a possibility of strong hot winds blowing in these states. Apart from this, snowfall will continue in Uttarakhand, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir.
