In order to participate in the Yoga Day event organised by PM Modi, actor Richard Gere also arrived at the UN headquarters in New York. It’s a pretty wonderful vibe here today, he said.
Csaba Korosi, the 77th President of the United Nations General Assembly, and Eric Adams, the Mayor of New York City, both took part in Modi’s Yoga Day event.
Additionally present at the occasion were Grammy Award winner Ricky Kej, award-winning storyteller Jay Shetty, Indian chef and restaurateur Vikas Khanna, and digital evangelist Vala Afshar. Diplomats, government representatives, academics, medical experts, technocrats, business executives, media figures, artists, religious leaders, and yoga practitioners were among the influential people who attended the event. More than 180 nations sent representatives to participate in the PM’s Yoga Day programme. The Prime Minister is currently in the country on his first official state visit.
