Priyank Kharge, a minister in Karnataka and the son of Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge, has drawn criticism for requesting that police take action against “gau-rakshaks” who prevent cow slaughter in the state. The event occurred a few days before Eid-al-Adha, an Islamic holiday also known as Bakri-eid.
Priyank Kharge gave the following instructions to state police officers in a meeting in Kalaburgi: “Those who wear shawls, take the law into their own hands and say they are from these Dals (Bajrang Dal), kick them and put them behind bars.”
“Action should be done against anyone who declares themselves to be a leader and spews hatred in the name of social problems. I don’t want needless riots between communities, he reportedly said.
Regarding the transportation of livestock, the law is extremely explicit. whether in a metropolis or a rural setting. Do not hassle them if they have the proper documentation, according to Priyank Kharge.
Even though he made the controversial claim a few days earlier, the speech’s video went viral on Saturday (June 24). Before lambasting the Congress Minister, social media users were unrelenting in their criticism.
“Priyank Kharge- wants to arrest anybody who enforce moral police on Bakri Eid by saving COWs. When did they start killing cows on that particular day? Or is this just a crude joke directed towards Hindus? One State visited Congress to learn more about the situation, according to a user’s tweet.
Suneet Bhargav stated, “There are many reasons like this why I have never voted for Congress, and I have no intention of voting for them.”
Every Hindu who supported the Congress in Karnataka should hang their heads in shame, according to BJP leader Priti Gandhi.
Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) will be outlawed in Karnataka by the Congress government, according to Priyank Kharge, who made the allegation in May of this year. Additionally, he caused uproar by calling Prime Minister Narendra Modi a “Nalayak.”
