MUMBAI: Two people who were drowning in the sea at Juhu Koliwada Landing Point were rescued by the police on duty at the place. Their names are Sameer Pawar (10) and Bhim Kale (7). Police constable Vishnu Bhaurao Bele saved him without caring for his life. The video of this incident is currently going viral on social media. In this video, Vishnu Belle is seen going into the sea. They went inland some distance from the shore and got the children out just in time.
Juhu Koliwada Landing Point is located in the west of Santacruz and Sameer and Bheem went into the water to swim in the sea here on Friday evening. As the water was unpredictable and the sea was rough, both started drowning. Seeing this, Police Constable Belle got into the water.
They swam and brought them safely to the shore. After this both the boys were asked their address. At first, the children gave the wrong address, fearing that they would find out at home. After much interrogation by the police, the boys revealed the real address of the house and contacted their parents. First aid was given to both the children and they were handed over to their parents. Both these children are residents of Govandi. These children had come to Juhu beach without telling their family.
Two boys, Sameer Pawar (age 10) and Bhim Kale (age 7), jumped into the sea from the tip of Juhu Koliwada Landing Point of Juhu Beach. Soon the two boys were caught in the strong current of sea water, unable to swim. Police constable Vishnu Bhaurao Bele, who was stationed at the beach, saw the two drowning in the sea and jumped into the sea and pulled them out of the water. The work of Constable Belle, who is working at Santacruz Police Station, is widely appreciated.
