Once again a Muslim man was beaten to death by cow vigilantes in Maharashtra’s Nashik district. A few days ago, the body of 23-year-old Lukman Ansari was recovered from a ditch in Ghatandevi. At the same time, now a group of cow vigilantes killed 32-year-old Afan Ansari on Saturday night on suspicion of carrying beef. At present, the police have detained 10 people in this case.
Two people were injured by beating
According to media reports, 32-year-old Afan Ansari, a resident of Kurla, Mumbai, was traveling in a car with his associate Nasir Shaikh. Then the cow protectors got information that both the persons were carrying beef. Police said the cow vigilantes allegedly stopped the car and started thrashing it. Later, everyone fled leaving the two injured.

Sub-inspector Sunil Bhamre said that the police reached the spot as soon as the information was received. A car was found in a damaged condition. There were injured people inside the car. Both were immediately admitted to the nearest hospital. Bhamre said that one person died during treatment.
Register a case and start investigation
Police said that ten people have been taken into custody in this case. they are being interrogated. At the same time, on the complaint of the injured person, a case of murder and rioting has been registered. Bhamre said, whether the persons were actually carrying beef or not, it would be known only after the lab reports come.
