Dapoli, Ratnagiri: The number of deaths in the severe accident that occurred in Dapoli district on Sunday afternoon has now increased. This Sunday has become a black day for Dapoli. The number of deaths in this accident has reached eight. A magic traveler auto-rickshaw driver was also involved in the accident. In this severe accident, in addition to the Kadam and Kajji families, a total of four people from each family lost their lives. Among them, the head of the Kadam family and the wife of the Kajji family died. The wife of the Chaugule family from Pajapandhari also died in this accident.
Due to the severe accident, a period of mourning has spread over the taluka. In Saludur, a truck heading towards Dapoli with an empty cargo collided forcefully with the magic traveler auto-rickshaw, resulting in a tragic incident. Eight people in the magic traveler auto-rickshaw lost their lives in this incident. The impact was so severe that the magic rickshaw was almost crushed under a hill, increasing the severity of the accident. In this severe accident, the truck driver Faiz Rahis Khan (originally from Uttar Pradesh) is suspected, and a complaint has been filed against him by the Dapoli police. The truck driver has also been arrested.
In the severe accident, five people lost their lives initially. Then, during the treatment late at night, three more people died. In this accident, Anil alias Bobby Sarang, a magic auto-rickshaw driver from Bajarpeth, also lost his life. Information has been received that another woman is in critical condition, and she has been brought to Mumbai for treatment. Among these eight people, two children are also included. This severe accident occurred on the state highway in Asood Joshi Ali in Dapoli. The accident occurred around 3:30 p.m. on Sunday.
The names of the deceased individuals are Mariyam Gaufik Kajji (6 years old), Swara Sandesh Kadam (8 years old), Sandesh Kadam (55 years old), and Farah Taufik Kajji (27 years old), as well as Anil alias Bobby Sarang (45 years old, the driver of the auto-rickshaw) are the names of those who lost their lives. In this accident, three more people lost their lives late at night. Among them, Mira Mahesh Borkar (22 years old) died, Vandana Chogle (38 years old) died during treatment at Pajapandhari’s Bhagvat Hospital, and Sharayya Shirgavkar, who lived in Asood, died at the Dervan Hospital.
