In a terrible occurrence, 25 people were killed when a bus caught fire on Saturday on the Samruddhi Motorway in the Buldhana region of Maharashtra, according to the police.
The private travels bus, according to the authorities, was travelling from Nagpur to Pune when it struck a divider at 1.30 am near Sindkhedraja in the Buldhana district, police said.

Baburao Mahamuni, Deputy SP of Buldhana Police, said that “25 bodies were removed from the bus.” On board the bus were 33 passengers in total. There were 6 to 8 injuries. To Buldhana Civil Hospital, the wounded are being transported.
The other eight injured passengers have been taken to a neighbouring hospital and are in good condition, he said.
Apparently, the bus’s driver is secure, said Kadasane.
PM Modi tweeted, “Deeply saddened by the devastating bus mishap in Buldhana, Maharashtra,” expressing his sorrow over the awful incident. The families of those who died are in my thoughts and prayers. May those who were hurt quickly heal. The local government is helping the victims in any way it can.
“The next of kin of those who perished in the bus accident in Buldhana will get an ex-gratia of Rs. 2 lakh from PMNRF. PM @narendramodi will provide the wounded Rs. 50,000, the PMO tweeted.
According to Union Home Minister Amit Shah, the wounded are receiving prompt medical attention.
