DRDO scientist Pradeep Kurulkar was detained by the Maharashtra police’s Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS), who then filed charges against him.Heet said that the Pakistani intelligence agent who went by the moniker “Zara Dasgupta” drew him in.
The chargesheet claims that the DRDO scientist spoke with her about sensitive defense programs, including Indian missile systems.
Kulrulkar is now in judicial detention after being detained on May 3 for violating the Official Secrets Act.
The chargesheet in its entirety
According to the police’s chargesheet, Kurulkar and ‘Zara Dasgupta’ spoke through voice and video conversations as well as WhatsApp.
Kurulkar was befriended by “Dasgupta” after receiving vulgar texts and videos.
She identified herself as a software engineer with a UK address, but an examination revealed that Pakistan was the location of her IP address.
According to the report, the Pakistani spy sought to get sensitive and confidential information on, among other things, the Brahmos Launcher, Drone, UCV, Agni Missile Launcher, and Military Bridging System.
According to the chargesheet, Kurulkar, who was drawn to Zara, “stored the classified and sensitive information of DRDO on his personal phone and then allegedly shared it with Zara.”
According to the report, he discussed a number of programs with her, including surface-to-air missiles (SAM), drones, Brahmos and Agni Missile Launchers, and UCV.
According to the ATS, the two were in touch from June 2022 until December 2022.
