Aarey Colony area of Mumbai here a driver raped the woman inside the auto. At present he has been arrested. In fact, in Mumbai’s Aarey Colony area, the auto driver is accused of first assaulting and then raping a 20-year-old woman.
The accused autorickshaw driver has been arrested. According to the police, the name of the accused is Indrajit Singh. He assaulted the woman inside the rickshaw before raping her. Not only this, he also threatened the victim not to say anything to anyone.
The matter came to light when blood started coming from the woman’s stomach at the operation site. In fact, two months ago, the woman had given birth to a child through C-section. After the rape, blood started coming from her stomach. Seeing this, the family members got scared and reached the hospital with the woman. They took the woman to the same hospital where she was delivered via caesarean section.
The doctor saw injury marks on the woman’s stomach. When he inquired about this, the woman told him her ordeal. After this, the woman’s family lodged a complaint with the police. According to the police, the woman had gone to CBD Belapur in Navi Mumbai to meet her aunt. When he booked an autorickshaw to return to Mumbai, he encountered the accused.
The woman had to go to Goregaon but the driver took her to an isolated place in Aarey Colony. There he assaulted and raped her while threatening her to keep quiet. After the crime, the accused fled to Uttar Pradesh. When the police engaged in the investigation interrogated the owner of the autorickshaw, it was found that a different driver was driving the auto on the day of the incident.
This helped the police to trace and apprehend Inderjit Singh in Uttar Pradesh. The criminal was arrested on Sunday and was later brought back to Mumbai. The police will present him in the court on Monday i.e. today. Now it has to be seen what punishment is given to the accused.
