Aaditya Thackeray, the leader of the Shiv Sena (UBT), said on Saturday that the rebels who overthrew his party “now know their true worth” and claimed to have “heard” that Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde had been asked to quit.
Despite the fact that nine members of the Nationalist Congress Party, including Ajit Pawar, were sworn in as members of the state legislature on July 2, Thackeray noted that no portfolios had yet been assigned.
I’ve been informed that the CM has been requested to quit. According to Thackeray, things could have altered as a result of the NCP group entering the administration. The 40 Sena MLAs headed by Shinde who revolted against Uddhav Thackeray in June of last year and overthrew the Maha Vikas Aghadi administration were referred to as “the original gaddars” (traitors) in Thackeray’s statement.
Furthermore, Thackeray and a number of Shiv Sena (UBT) party officials said that certain MLAs from the Shinde camp were making overtures to join the Thackeray camp. Despite the NCP entering the state administration, which also includes the Bharatiya Janata Party, the Shinde-led Shiv Sena has insisted that he would remain CM.
On July 2, Ajit Pawar spearheaded a vertical breakaway within the Sharad Pawar-led NCP and was appointed Shinde’s deputy chief minister. Eight MLAs were sworn in as ministers, including Chhagan Bhujbal, Dilip Walse Patil, and Hasan Mushrif.
