In order to ensure that the Bharatiya Janata Party does not win any seats in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal launched the election campaign on Friday. He also encouraged Aam Aadmi Party members to visit every home in the nation’s capital and expose the “conspiracies” of the party.
At a meeting of AAP workers (karyakarta sammelan), Kejriwal also gave them instructions to find out in each home if the people want him to stay in prison and continue to serve as the chief minister in the case of his arrest, or whether he should step down.
“I’m not lustful for the position of chief minister. I think I’m the first chief minister in history to step down after 49 days without being asked to,” he said.
“In discussions, council members and MLAs advised me to remain the chief minister even in the event of my arrest. I have given you an assignment: visit every home, engage in conversation with the residents, inquire as to whether I should remain the chief minister while I’m incarcerated, and inform them about the BJP’s plots. Make sure not a single seat is available for them here. He said, “This will be a campaign for the Lok Sabha elections.
Kejriwal said that the BJP knows it cannot beat the AAP in Delhi, so it turns to “hatching conspiracies” and locking up AAP leaders. “Four of our leaders are in jail today,” he said. They serve as an example. Be not afraid to go to prison. Sanjay Singh and Manish Sisodia would be released from prison in less than a day if they leave the AAP today.”
In addition, he said that the BJP intended to interfere in the election campaigns of leaders of several regional parties in the run-up to the Lok Sabha elections. “They want to imprison me in order to prevent the AAP from running for office during the Lok Sabha elections. Similar plans have been made in Bihar, West Bengal, and Jharkhand. He issued a challenge, saying, “But I challenge you: you put these leaders behind bars and you might just be cleaned up.”
AAP has emerged as the third-largest party in such a short time, and the BJP is aware that they would never be able to drive AAP out of Delhi, no matter what they do. They have thus come up with a plan called the Liquor Scam. Arvind Kejriwal, the chief minister of Delhi, said at the “AAP Karyakarta Sammelan” in Delhi, “Now tell me, is the liquor scam happening in Gujarat and Haryana, or is it in Delhi?”
The chief minister emphasized how the AAP expanded in only ten years to become a national party. “We are officially recognized as a national party. We have overtaken the 1,350 registered parties, behind only the Congress and the BJP. With its current rate of growth, the AAP would eventually overtake the BJP and Congress to take national leadership,” he prophesied.
