Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Sanjay Raut was criticised by Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MLA Nitesh Rane, who said that his influence in Maharashtra politics had ended.
“The gulam phoning other gulam is seated at Silver Oak with Sharad Pawar. Sanjay Raut’s prominence in Maharashtra politics has ended since the NCP, which used to pay his salary, has joined the NDA administration, according to Nitesh Rane. He has been urged to keep his mouth quiet by those who they worked with at Patna and the MVA. Who is there to hear him, then? Added Rane.
Rane said that the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) was in charge of the partnership and that there had never been good relations between the Uddhav Thackeray faction of the Shiv Sena and the Congress.
“The Shiv Sena section led by Uddhav Thackeray and the Congress never got along. Their company used the NCP to function. Uddhav Thackery, Aaditya Thackeray, and Sanjay Raut are no longer in the political workforce as a result of the NCP joining the NDA. Because they were dependent on Sharad Pawar, they are no longer relevant now, Rane added.
The Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) coalition in Maharashtra has formally disbanded, according to a BJP MLA who was asked about its future. Since the NCP has now arrived with the BJP and Shiv Sena, MVA is officially over going forward. It’s time to bid MVA “Rest in Peace,’” he added.
Nitesh Rane said that the Congress should have the role of Leader of the Opposition in the Maharashtra Assembly, and that the Maharashtra Vidhan Parishad may follow suit.
“The opposition leader will be present with the Congress. How long Ambadal Danve would remain in the same position is unknown, not even inside the Vidhan Parishad. The Congress would also hold the office of Vidhan Parishad Leader of Opposition in the future, he said.
Sanjay Raut said once again earlier on Monday that NCP leader Ajit Pawar, who was sworn in as Maharashtra’s deputy chief minister the day before, will take over as chief minister from Eknath Shinde. 16 MLAs who were a part of the Shiv Sena split over a year ago, according to Raut, would be “disqualified.”
“Today, I’m announcing this in front of the camera; the Maharashtra Chief Minister will change. Removed is Eknath Shinde. The 16 MLAs and Eknath Shinde would be dismissed, Raut said in a statement to ANI.
Ajit Pawar, the head of the NCP and the state’s leader of opposition, unexpectedly joined the Shiv Sena-BJP coalition in Maharashtra on Sunday and assumed office as the state’s deputy chief minister.
Prior to the Lok Sabha and assembly elections next year, this altered the political landscape in the state and had an impact on national politics. Ajit Pawar, the nephew of NCP leader Sharad Pawar, joined the Shinde-Fadnavis cabinet along with eight other NCP legislators. This occurred at a time when opposition groups were trying to come together to defeat the BJP in the Lok Sabha elections the following year. Former Maharashtra Chief Minister Sharad Pawar has played a significant role in trying to bring the opposition together.
