YouTuber Elvish Yadav was detained by Rajasthan police in Kota on Saturday during routine checks after a FIR was filed against him in the snake venom supply case.
Elvish has previously refuted the accusations made against him.
The UP Police also implicated five more people in the purported distribution of snake venom during rave events.
During normal screening, Rajasthan Police stopped Elvish and others, and then they spoke with the senior police officers involved in the case.
Police claimed he was subsequently freed.
According to Vishnu, the sub-inspector of Kota Police, “We stopped a vehicle carrying four to five people during routine checking.” Elvish Yadav was one of them. We discovered that a case had been filed in Noida against him. When we contacted the DCP and ACP in question, we learned that they are not looking for him in the matter that is being looked into. Therefore, we let him go.
Elvish had already disputed the claims against him in a personalized YouTube video on Saturday, stating that he is prepared to turn himself in if he is discovered to be responsible.
“When I woke up, I noticed the FIR, which said that this lawsuit was filed by Maneka Gandhi’s NGO, People for Animals. I go around with snakes around my neck, the woman said. That was just for the sake of filming a song, nothing more. I refuse to tarnish my family’s and my own reputations by engaging in all of these illicit activities. Whether the sentence is ten or one hundred years, if I have even a little part in this case, I will turn myself in. “Everyone is aware that I am still capable of performing these kinds of tasks,” Elvish said.
