MET Gala 2023: Karl Lagerfeld, a late iconic French fashion designer and creative director, inspired Alia Bhatt’s jewel-encrusted accessories, which reached a new level and exhibited an astonishing language revolving around refinement.
The star first seemed to be “a vision in white, ethereally clad in pearls.” She wore a princess-cut gown and eye-catching couture accessories that sparkled with pearls and crystals as she walked the red carpet at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York.
Her accessories are developed by Kaabia and Sasha Grewal of Outhouse Jewellery and handmade alone in forty-eight hours with futuristic components. In order to match Prabal Gurung’s iridescent gown, the sister founders of Outhouse developed “a line in beauty” after carefully examining Karl’s aesthetics and design philosophy.
The designer pair explains, “For Alia, we customized a special bow hair accessory, jewelled vegan leather glovelettes, and suggested earrings from our ready-to-wear collection to complement the same.”
Organic pearls, crystal orbs in two tones, and metallic spikes are all delicately strung together in the hair bow with a touch of daring and elegance. The procedure, according to the designers, started with creating a traditional bow that was repeated as a couture braid adornment.
The iconic jewelled glove, which is also visible on her, is a representation of the brand’s runway edit, which debuted last year. The fingerless glovelettes, made of ivory PETA-approved vegan leather, combine Outhouse’s creativity with Karl’s iconism. It has a beautiful crystal and pearl-studded OH V monogram on it.The item gave the ivory silk tulle and satin face organza ball gown with an exaggerated basque waist and hand-beaded pearls some edge.
Anaita Shroff Ajadania, a well-known celebrity stylist, interpreted the topic to honor Karl Lagerfeld’s contribution to fashion in creating the look. The creative team said that Alia’s harmonious appearance was inspired by a collection of over 150 works on display at the Costume Institute of the MET Museum.
Rihanna, Doja Cat, Nicole Kidman, Carla Bruni, Roger Federer, Dua Lipa, Priyanka Chopra Jonas and Nick Jonas, Jared Leto, Natasha Poonawalla, Isha Ambani Piramal, Kendall Jenner, and Kim Kardashian were just a few of the famous people that attended the MET Gala 2023.
