Ashok Gehlot, the chief minister of Rajasthan, on Friday denounced the ‘Hindu Rashtra’ philosophy of the governing Bharatiya Janata Party, which he said was to blame for the growth of the Khalistan movement and separatists like Amritpal Singh in Punjab.
Gehlot said that the BJP and RSS’s ideas were to blame for the success of radical preacher Singh, claiming that Amritpal Singh was arguing that if Mohan Bhagwat and Narendra Modi were to discuss Hindu Rashtra, then why shouldn’t he discuss Khalistan? Gehlot questioned Singh’s arrogance in making such a comment while speaking at a party workers’ meeting in Bharatpur. He continued by saying that politics and religion had grown entwined throughout the nation.
“Under the guise of religion, it is simple to win over people. He said, “We need to be concerned about our nation. The CM said, “Indira Gandhi did not let Khalistan to be founded, which is also why she was slain. As a result, India stayed unified.”
Although the search for the Khalistani sympathiser is ongoing, the Waris Punjab De leader has sent two video messages and one audio message from cover. Singh, who has been missing since March 18, claimed he would not give up during a live Facebook video on Thursday. “People who think I’ve run away and abandoned my friends shouldn’t hold onto this false impression. I have no fear of dying, he said in the Punjabi video. The Sikh leader requested that the Akal Takht call a congregation and provide documentation demonstrating that it is the community’s legitimate leader in the audio message that was played prior to Thursday’s video.
Gehlot also claimed that Congress would win 156 out of 200 seats in the next assembly elections at the party meeting. The power struggle between him and his former subordinate Sachin Pilot was described by him as “trivial disputes.”
