15 passengers missed the trip when an Air India Express flight to Kuwait left four hours sooner than expected. On March 29, 2023, the event took place at the airport in Vijayawada, Andhra Pradesh.
Uncertain departure times result in stranded travellers
The aircraft was supposed to leave at 7:30 p.m. local time, but the airline altered the departure time to 3:30 p.m. without alerting the passengers, according to a complaint. The passengers were told that the aircraft had already taken off when they arrived at the airport at the scheduled departure time as a consequence.
The airport was left without the 15 passengers who missed their flight. They voiced their dissatisfaction with the airline’s poor handling of the matter and lack of communication. Several of the impacted customers reported they had to spend more money on alternative flight bookings.
Air India Express extends their regrets and provides impacted passengers with compensation.
