Anurag Thakur, a Union Minister, stated that the stage is prepared and a theatre company is assembling ahead of the Lok Sabha elections in 2024 in a stinging assault on Friday’s Opposition conference in Patna.
He said that while they (opposition leaders) discuss creating an alliance, their efforts would be useless. The opposition gathering was scheduled for this past Friday in order to form a united front against the BJP in the Lok Sabha elections of 2024.
The theatrical group has gathered (Rang Manch Saj Chuka Hai…Natak Mandli Ekatrit Ho Chuki Hai), and the stage (opposition meeting) is ready. The most dishonest leaders enter the system,” Thakur told reporters in Panipat, Haryana.
“Though they talk about forming an alliance but fail miserably,” he said. Thakur said that fifteen leaders spoke in a news conference but failed to adequately answer any of the inquiries from the media.
“Fifteen persons participate in a joint news conference, but their remarks diverge and none of the questions from the media are properly addressed. How did they all stand on the same platform as Lalu-Nitish, Akhilesh, and Mamta Banerjee called on the Congress to quit Bihar, UP, and Bengal, respectively? It seems that Congress would be left in charge of adding merely chairs to the coalition, according to Thakur.
He continued by saying that this partnership lacks a leader, goals, or objectives.
Attended the meeting at Nitish Kumar’s official house in Patna were more than 15 opposition parties.
Chief Ministers from numerous states where the opposition is in power, including Mamata Banerjee, as well as other well-known members of opposition parties, attended the major event.
Nitish Kumar, the chief minister of Bihar and the head of the Janata Dal-United, said during the joint news conference that the opposition parties had chosen to cooperate in the election campaign.
As a reminder of Jayaprakash Narayan’s appeal for a complete revolution in 1974, which led to the overthrow of Indira Gandhi’s majority government, the opposition parties chose Patna as the location for their summit.
It was stated that the next gathering of the opposition parties will take place in Shimla next month.
